These terms apply when you use the cran app. cran is made by Mohamed Hatem, an individual based in Egypt (“we”, “us”).
Apple’s standard terms
cran is licensed to you under Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the “Standard EULA”). The terms below add to it. Where they differ, these terms apply between you and us. Apple isn’t a party to these terms and isn’t responsible for cran or its support.
Who can use cran
You must be 18 or older to use cran. cran suggests calorie targets, including calorie deficits, which aren’t suitable for minors.
Estimates are estimates, not medical advice
cran estimates foods, portions, calories and nutrients from photos and from what you enter. Estimates can be wrong, sometimes by a lot. They are for general information only.
- cran is not medical advice and is not a medical device. It doesn’t diagnose, treat or prevent any condition.
- Talk to a doctor or a registered dietitian before changing how you eat, especially if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, have or have had an eating disorder, have diabetes or another condition, or take medication.
- Don’t rely on cran where an error could harm you, such as for food allergies or dosing insulin.
Subscriptions
- Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel. Apple bills them to your App Store account, at the price shown before you confirm.
- To cancel, open Settings › [your name] › Subscriptions on your iPhone, at least 24 hours before the current period ends. You keep access until the end of the period you’ve paid for.
- Refunds are handled by Apple, under Apple’s policies. You can ask for one at reportaproblem.apple.com.
- Deleting the app or your cran account doesn’t cancel a subscription. Cancel it in Settings.
Your photos and data
Your photos and journal remain yours. You allow us to store and process the photos and data the app sends us only to run cran for you, as the Privacy Policy describes.
Only upload photos you have the right to use, and don’t use cran to break the law or to disrupt, probe or reverse engineer its service.
Other people’s content
Recipes, images and links shown in Inspire come from other sources and belong to their owners. We aren’t responsible for third-party recipes or websites.
The service
We work to keep cran running and accurate, but we provide it “as is”. We may change, pause or end features, or the service, at any time. We may suspend accounts that misuse it.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for decisions you make based on cran’s estimates. Our total liability to you is limited to what you paid for cran in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the consumer law of the country where you live that can’t be limited by contract.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Egypt.
Changes
If we change these terms, we update this page and its date.
